Who They Are
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. They’re dedicated to funding world-class research to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage.
They bring together people affected by breast cancer and the brightest scientific minds to achieve one clear goal: by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live, and live well.
What They Do
- Fund Research: Supporting over 350 of the world’s brightest researchers
- Provide Support: Through their helpline, online community, and face-to-face services
- Campaign for Change: Fighting for better treatment and care on the NHS
- Raise Awareness: Educating people about breast cancer signs and symptoms
How your fundraising helps
Every pound you raise makes a real difference. Here’s how WVC funds are changing lives:
If you raise ÂŁ500
You could fund…
- A day of world-class research into secondary breast cancer
- 20 women receiving support through the Someone Like Me service
- Training for 5 nurses in specialist breast cancer care
This is what 73% of WVC participants achieve!
If your team raises ÂŁ1,430
You could fund…
- A researcher for a week investigating drug-resistant breast cancer
- 50 information packs for newly diagnosed patients
- A month of helpline operations supporting hundreds of callers
This is the average for WVC teams!
If you go international ÂŁ3,140
You could fund…
- Essential lab equipment for breakthrough research
- A support group for 20 women for an entire year
- Development of new treatment protocols
The average raised on WVC international challenges!
“The partnership with Women V Cancer has been transformational. Not only has it raised vital funds for our research and support services, but it’s created a community of women who are turning their energy and determination into hope for the future.”
