This is the most approachable of our three ways to experience Vietnam and Cambodia by bike – same destination, but done your way. Explorer keeps the ride to six manageable cycling days over flat delta and rural roads, staying in comfortable, reliable hotels throughout, with a free day built in at the end to enjoy Siem Reap without a fixed schedule.
Each day is fully supported by an English-speaking guide and vehicle/mechanic support as configured for group size, with meals, entrance fees and local boat trips included along the way.

What to expect
- Cycle rural roads and river ferries through the heart of the Mekong Delta
- Cross by boat from Vietnam into Cambodia along the Mekong River
- Ride through the ancient Angkor temple complex by bike, finishing at Angkor Wat
- Visit the Tra Su cajuput forest by boat, home to rare birds and wildlife
- A free day in Siem Reap to explore Angkor at your own pace or relax by the pool
Day by day itinerary
Arrival day to ho chi minh city
Welcome to Vietnam! Your guide and driver meet you on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for the short transfer to your hotel, where there’s time to settle in, get fitted for your bike, and run through the trip briefing. The rest of the day is free to explore Ho Chi Minh City before a welcome dinner of Vietnamese cuisine.
Please don’t be! Many participants sign up for this trip solo, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded travellers. Once you’ve registered, we’ll send you a link to a private Facebook group where you can connect with fellow cyclists, share training tips, and get to know the group before you go.
