Singing Gorilla Projects

Singing Gorilla Projects is a UK charity that operates in Uganda by providing community based projects that give people choices so that they can enrich their own lives and improve the welfare of their communities in a creative and sustainable manner. Singing Gorilla Projects has been working in the Kisoro District, a remote and rural part of Uganda with no electricity or running water. Singing Gorilla Projects have set up a women’s empowerment group, a music school, installed water tanks, built classrooms and latrines sponsored children to continue their schooling and has built a community health clinic and service.

The Chronicle Sunshine Fund is a North East charity that enhances the lives of local children with disabilities through funding equipment to meet their specialist needs. They support babies, children and young adults up to the age of 19 and fund equipment not provided by the NHS or Social Services. The charity receives no statutory funding and relies solely on the support and generosity of local individuals and organisations.

Pancreatic Cancer Action

Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity that specifically focusses on improving pancreatic cancer survival rates through early diagnosis in everything we do. Pink Ribbon Foundation

The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. Motor Neurone Disease Association

Six people per day are diagnosed with motor neurone disease in the UK and six people die every day of MND. It can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. This terminal disease has no cure. The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.

Charlie's Cancer Support

Charlie's supports anyone affected by cancer, including their friends and families. We offer therapies, such as massages, reiki, meditation, art and social groups, fitness, wig fitting and much more. Our centre in Gloucester, Madleaze Road is open 3 days a week with our volunteer therapists offering the above support.

Alzheimer's Society

The UK's leading dementia charity funds research into the elimination of the disease, whilst supporting anyone it has affected.


Suicide&Co is a national charity with the core purpose to support those bereaved by suicide and open-up the conversation around suicide-related grief. The main support that Suicide&Co provides is free to access one-to-one bereavement counselling. They also have a helpline – the first national suicide bereavement helpline run by bereavement counsellors open Monday – Friday 9am-9pm.

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease. We support everyone affected by lung cancer – from diagnosis, through treatment, living with the disease and end of life care. Willen Hospice

Willen Hospice is a registered charity that provides specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment (also known as specialist palliative care). We provide care for people from the age of 18 years upwards and work in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. Willen Hospice provides services to three Primary Care Trusts - Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. The Hospice is based at a quiet lakeside area close to the City Centre.

PSC Support

PSC Support is the only UK charity solely focused on improving the lives of people affected by the rare, immune-mediated disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), through support, advocacy and by funding much needed PSC research. There is no effective medical treatment or cure for PSC. People with PSC urgently need a treatment that works. PSC Support is run by a small team and is totally funded from charitable donations. This means that every penny you fundraise will be used where it is needed most to support and make a real difference to people with PSC and their families.

Pahar Trust Nepal

The Primrose Foundation

The Primrose Foundation is a well-established breast care charity that has existed for almost 25 years, we work in partnership with University Hospitals Plymouth to provide the best possible care, support and a range of services to those who require breast care and treatment, including cancer care. We do this by funding equipment, research and education, staff development and additional resources and services that make a patient’s experience more comfortable.


34 young adults in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Trekstock delivers practical and social support programmes tailored to their needs, to give them a better chance of living well through and beyond cancer. Our programmes tackle social isolation, improve quality of life and provide young adults with the tools they need to get moving again after cancer puts their life on hold.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Best known for our work to protect elephants, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) operates the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. But we do much more than this.

RSPCA Mid Norfolk & North Suffolk Branch

Every RSPCA Branch is a separately registered charity and operates within the framework of the national society's policies and guidelines. This means we are one of 164 branches in England and Wales and the local branch for Mid Norfolk & North Suffolk. By supporting our Branch you can feel secure in the knowledge that your donations will go towards providing care and support to animals that need it. We receive no government funding and pledge to support abused, abandoned and neglected animals. In 2018 we helped over 1,000 animals through rehoming and our welfare assistance programme but there are still so many vulnerable animals out there that need our help, hopefully you will be excited about joining our pack!

Wessex Heartbeat

Wessex Heartbeat charity provides support to the Wessex Cardiac Centre (WCC) at Southampton General Hospital, by making a real difference by supporting the care of over 40,000 patients diagnosed with heart conditions, this includes 4,000 newborns, children and young adults. Funding helps to purchase specialist medical equipment, patient services and refurbishment of hospital facilities as well as continuing to offer a home from home environment free of charge to 2,100 relatives of patients diagnosed with heart conditions in Heartbeat House, which is ideally situated close to loved ones whilst they stay in Southampton General Hospital.

Dementia UK

Dementia UK provides personal dementia support for families via specially trained Admiral Nurses, who provide emotional and physical assistance.

Living With Aphasia

We are a charity that supports people in Devon affected by aphasia. We bring people with aphasia together to share experiences, make friends, rebuild their confidence in communication and access the support they need. There are over 367,000 people in the UK with aphasia, but a figure that increases by 20,000 each year. Our charity aims to help these people find a way to reconnect with others again.


Teddy20 Supporting Children with Cancer is a charity based in Blandford Forum, Dorset. Our aim is to provide emotional and financial support to children and young people suffering and undergoing treatment for cancer in the Wessex Region. Amongst other things the charity has purchased and operates Ted's Shack in Weymouth which offers respite holidays for children and their families. Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care

Phyllis Tuckwell is the only Hospice Care service for adult patients, and their families, across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. Every day we support over 250 patients, carers and relatives at the Hospice in Farnham, at the Beacon Centre in Guildford and in their own homes. A lot has changed over the years, but the one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to compassionate care and support ..... because every day is precious!

HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust) travels every Easter to Lourdes in Southern France with around 1,000 disabled and disadvantaged children from the UK and beyond – they are accompanied by volunteer nurses and helpers. During the Summer months visitors, many of whom have disabilities or life limiting conditions, stay at the HCPT’s Hosanna House in the hills above the town. HCPT’s services are available to all.

Veterans in Action

Veterans In Action (VIA) is a charity that helps veterans who suffer from the effects of war or who find it hard to adjust to civilian life. VIA use a unique program called the ALIVE Program that has three distinct stages that puts the onus on the individual to make the changes in order for them to move forward.
