34 young adults in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Trekstock delivers practical and social support programmes tailored to their needs, to give them a better chance of living well through and beyond cancer. Our programmes tackle social isolation, improve quality of life and provide young adults with the tools they need to get moving again after cancer puts their life on hold.

Dyscover

Dyscover is a charity providing long-term support and opportunities to people with aphasia and their families. People with aphasia have difficulty reading, writing and understanding what is being said. This disability is caused by a stroke, head injury or other illness.

Regain

Regain provides equipment and facilities to improve mobility, communication, education and employment opportunities for those with Tetraplegia.

PSC Support

PSC Support is the only UK charity solely focused on improving the lives of people affected by the rare, immune-mediated disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), through support, advocacy and by funding much needed PSC research. There is no effective medical treatment or cure for PSC. People with PSC urgently need a treatment that works. PSC Support is run by a small team and is totally funded from charitable donations. This means that every penny you fundraise will be used where it is needed most to support and make a real difference to people with PSC and their families.

Living With Aphasia

We are a charity that supports people in Devon affected by aphasia. We bring people with aphasia together to share experiences, make friends, rebuild their confidence in communication and access the support they need. There are over 367,000 people in the UK with aphasia, but a figure that increases by 20,000 each year. Our charity aims to help these people find a way to reconnect with others again.

SSAFA

The Donna Louise provides a lifeline to families across Staffordshire and South Cheshire who are facing every parent’s worst nightmare; the heart-breaking knowledge that they will almost certainly outlive their child. We provide specialist care and support services for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, due to illness or injury, from birth until they no longer need us. Our services are free of charge, and we rely hugely on the kindness and generosity of the local community to make this possible.

The Jermain Defoe Foundation

The Jermain Defoe Foundation supports homeless, vulnerable and abused young people in the Caribbean Islands and the United Kingdom. Currently, the charity focuses on funding Dominica Hurricane Relief to help the children and families whose lives were devastated by the impact of Hurricane Maria.

Six people per day are diagnosed with motor neurone disease in the UK and six people die every day of MND. It can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. This terminal disease has no cure. The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.

The Chronicle Sunshine Fund is a North East charity that enhances the lives of local children with disabilities through funding equipment to meet their specialist needs. Wessex Heartbeat

Wessex Heartbeat charity provides support to the Wessex Cardiac Centre (WCC) at Southampton General Hospital, by making a real difference by supporting the care of over 40,000 patients diagnosed with heart conditions, this includes 4,000 newborns, children and young adults. Funding helps to purchase specialist medical equipment, patient services and refurbishment of hospital facilities as well as continuing to offer a home from home environment free of charge to 2,100 relatives of patients diagnosed with heart conditions in Heartbeat House, which is ideally situated close to loved ones whilst they stay in Southampton General Hospital.

Marie Curie

Marie Curie provides care, support and guidance to those affected by terminal illness to bring light in the darkest hours.

Maggie's

Maggie’s is a charity providing free cancer support and information in our centres alongside NHS hospitals and online. We help people take back control when cancer turns life upside down, with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries.

Veterans in Action

Veterans In Action (VIA) is a charity that helps veterans who suffer from the effects of war or who find it hard to adjust to civilian life. VIA use a unique program called the ALIVE Program that has three distinct stages that puts the onus on the individual to make the changes in order for them to move forward.

Victim Support

Victim Support is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Crime has lasting emotional, social, and psychological effects, often leaving those affected feeling afraid and isolated. Victim Support advocates for victims’ rights and needs, aiming to make their voices heard, and the charity works tirelessly to ensure those affected by crime receive the support they need and the respect they deserve. Last year, Victim Support offered support to 814,000 victims of crime across England and Wales, working to help people feel safer and find the strength to move beyond crime.
