The Chronicle Sunshine Fund

The Chronicle Sunshine Fund is a North East charity that enhances the lives of local children with disabilities through funding equipment to meet their specialist needs. They support babies, children and young adults up to the age of 19 and fund equipment not provided by the NHS or Social Services. The charity receives no statutory funding and relies solely on the support and generosity of local individuals and organisations.

Every Child Protected Against Trafficking

ECPAT UK is a leading children's rights organisation working to protect children from child trafficking and transnational child exploitation. We support children everywhere to uphold their rights and to live a life free from abuse and exploitation.

HCPT

HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust) travels every Easter to Lourdes in Southern France with around 1,000 disabled and disadvantaged children from the UK and beyond – they are accompanied by volunteer nurses and helpers. During the Summer months visitors, many of whom have disabilities or life limiting conditions, stay at the HCPT’s Hosanna House in the hills above the town. HCPT’s services are available to all.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a charity providing specialist care and support for adults and children with a life-limiting illness in Bucks and west Herts. Through our unique hospice at home service, available day and night, and a range of day services we support our patients to live the best quality life they can with a choice about how and where they are cared for towards the end of life. We are also here for the families of our patients, ensuring that everyone can receive the right support, when they need it, to help them make every moment together matter.

Their care is tailored to suit the needs of each individual and, with a blend of expertise and compassion, the team offers support for people when they most need it.

Severn Hospice

At Severn Hospice, we are committed to caring for people in the place where they want to receive it. Both here and at home. Our approach to care is to enable those who need our help to live as well as they can within the constraints of a life-limiting illness. ‘Living Well’ with Severn Hospice means we care for people, not patients.

The Urology Foundation

The Urology Foundation is leading the fight against urology disease through funding research, offering education and by providing specialist training.

ECHO

From the moment of diagnosis, throughout any treatment and care pathway or bereavement, ECHO supports children and young people with heart conditions and their families. We aim to support members from across the UK and do so both within the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, local general hospitals and throughout the community. Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect and affects just under 1 in 100 babies born throughout the UK

St Peter & St James Hospice

Sands Lothians provides compassionate care to all bereaved families in Edinburgh and the Lothians We provide specialist counselling and befriending services free of charge to all our parents. 15 babies a day die in the UK and we want to make sure no family suffers alone

Motor Neurone Disease Association

Six people per day are diagnosed with motor neurone disease in the UK and six people die every day of MND. It can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. This terminal disease has no cure. The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.

Trekstock

34 young adults in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Willen Hospice

PSC Support

PSC Support is the only UK charity solely focused on improving the lives of people affected by the rare, immune-mediated disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), through support, advocacy and by funding much needed PSC research. There is no effective medical treatment or cure for PSC. People with PSC urgently need a treatment that works. PSC Support is run by a small team and is totally funded from charitable donations. Momentum Children's Charity supports the whole family, parents, siblings, and grandparents. By establishing close links to the families we can identify ways to help that fit their specific needs. Carr Gomm

Carr Gomm is a Scotland-wide social care and community development charity. Carr Gomm supports people with a whole range of needs in both their everyday lives and in achieving their goals- whatever these may be- and we have been doing so for more than 20 years. Pink Ribbon Foundation

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment. The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount, which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.

Wessex Heartbeat

Wessex Heartbeat charity provides support to the Wessex Cardiac Centre (WCC) at Southampton General Hospital, by making a real difference by supporting the care of over 40,000 patients diagnosed with heart conditions, this includes 4,000 newborns, children and young adults. Funding helps to purchase specialist medical equipment, patient services and refurbishment of hospital facilities as well as continuing to offer a home from home environment free of charge to 2,100 relatives of patients diagnosed with heart conditions in Heartbeat House, which is ideally situated close to loved ones whilst they stay in Southampton General Hospital.

Look Good Feel Better

Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of people undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. Found in hospitals, cancer care centres and hospices across the UK, Look Good Feel Better’s unique confidence boosting Workshops provide an opportunity for people living with cancer to come together in a safe and welcoming environment. The Workshops enable people to feel less isolated and regain a loss in confidence and self-esteem.

The Donna Louise

The Donna Louise provides a lifeline to families across Staffordshire and South Cheshire who are facing every parent’s worst nightmare; the heart-breaking knowledge that they will almost certainly outlive their child. We provide specialist care and support services for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, due to illness or injury, from birth until they no longer need us. Our services are free of charge, and we rely hugely on the kindness and generosity of the local community to make this possible.

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care

Phyllis Tuckwell is the only Hospice Care service for adult patients, and their families, across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. Every day we support over 250 patients, carers and relatives at the Hospice in Farnham, at the Beacon Centre in Guildford and in their own homes. A lot has changed over the years, but the one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to compassionate care and support ..... because every day is precious!

Running Well

Running Well provides people living in underdeveloped and remote parts of Uganda with access to clean water by encouraging people to take up a personal challenge to help raise funds for the projects it supports. The charity’s primary focus is to build water boreholes, with the aim of providing a sustainable, long term solution to giving people access to clean water and to help improve their standard of living, health and education.

Kidney Cancer UK

Kidney Cancer UK is the UK’s leading specialist kidney cancer charity. We seek to reduce the harm caused by kidney cancer by increasing knowledge and awareness, providing patient information and by supporting research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease.
