Trek mount kilimanjaro16th sep 2027

From:£3,600
Summary
From the rainforests of Moshi to the roof of Africa, Trek Kilimanjaro takes you up the continent's highest peak via its most established and best-supported route. Across seven trekking days, you'll pass through five distinct ecological zones — rainforest, heather and moorland, alpine desert, and finally arctic summit — a journey that feels less like a single climb and more like trekking through several countries at once.
This is a trek built on smart pacing. The Marangu Route is the only path up Kilimanjaro with mountain hut accommodation rather than tents, and this itinerary builds in two full acclimatisation days — at Horombo and again at Kibo — giving your body real time to adjust before the summit push. Expect long, steady days on well-trodden trails, big-sky views of Kibo and Mawenzi, and a genuinely tough final ascent through the night to watch the sunrise from Gilman's Point.
Beyond the trail, there's the camaraderie of hut life, a shared dining hall each evening, and the quiet pride of a summit certificate at Marangu Gate. With five climate zones, dormitory huts, and Africa's highest point as the prize, this is a genuine bucket-list trekking challenge, accessible to committed first-time high-altitude trekkers.

Faqs
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a high altitude trek that is a serious physical challenge, but nothing you can’t achieve without a bit of training. We provide all our participants with a realistic and achievable training plan once you register for the challenge, which we recommend you stick to.
The trek will test your physical fitness, powers of endurance and mental strength. Our mountain guides have an excellent track record both in safety and in reaching the summit with this type of group.
Much of the route is on well defined paths although the summit ascent will involve some scrambling on scree-covered slopes and boulders. Perhaps the biggest challenge is dealing with the altitude; but we have designed this itinerary to allow for sufficient acclimatisation to the conditions, which will help to improve the chances of reaching the summit. Two UK registered expedition trained doctors will be travelling with your group.
