Cycle kenya: the rift valley

Summary
This is Kenya in full. Vast landscapes, rich culture, and a route that takes you far beyond the expected.
Over 9 days, including 6 days of cycling, this challenge begins in the highlands of Nyeri at the edge of Aberdare National Park and journeys west across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Victoria. Along the way, you’ll ride through fertile farmland, remote communities, and protected conservation areas, experiencing a side of Kenya few visitors reach.
The route is demanding, with over 470km of cycling across varied terrain, from long mountain climbs to fast descents and rolling valley roads. Each day brings a different perspective, whether riding beneath Mount Kenya, crossing escarpments, or tracking towards the vast shoreline of Lake Victoria.
Wildlife, scenery, and culture are constant throughout. From roadside encounters in rural villages to sightings of giraffe and zebra in conservation areas, this is a challenge that delivers far more than just the ride.
It finishes in Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria, before returning to Nairobi to celebrate an extraordinary journey.
