Massive thank you to SoGud who've donated £2000 healthy snacks to walk the night

Sogud, a Scottish micro business based near Glasgow has donated healthy snacks valued at over £2000 to our brave fundraisers, who are taking on the first ever Walk the Night challenge on 14 July to support people affected by breast and prostate cancers.

Walk the Night is the first event to bring men and women together against cancer in exclusive support of the charities, Breast Cancer Care and Prostate Cancer UK. The charity marathon in London has attracted over a thousand people, all committed to raising funds and awareness of these two invaluable charities, showing their strong support of men and women across the UK affected by cancer.

Needless to say, Sogud's incredibly generous donation has helped the cause invaluably. It reduces the cost of running the challenge and so means even more of the money raised for Walk the Night will go directly into the work of the charities. Not to mention, we know these delicious and nutritious snacks will go down a treat with our courageous participants and will be a perfect pick me up for their long walk through the night.

The amazing Neil Petrie, Sogud's Sales Director, says: "After 10 years doing International Aid work in Africa, I know only too well the importance of sponsorship to charities, and we're honoured to have the opportunity to lend our support to such a worthwhile organisation. I have absolute admiration for the brave walkers who are taking to the London streets and we are delighted to do our bit by feeding them with our nutrient dense squares."

About Sogud

Sogud started trading in April 2016 producing healthy snacks made from whole ingredients. Thanks to nutrition and product development input from the Rowett Institute and Queen Margaret University in Scotland, they now have a range of 5 nutrient dense, gluten free and vegan products that also taste fantastic. They are sold in farm shops and deli’s across the UK and have supplied Christmas products to Germany.

What is Walk the Night?

Walk the Night is our first challenge to bring men and women together to walk through London in support of Prostate Cancer UK and Breast Cancer Care. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast, or whether your idea of a work-out is stretching your stomach with another cookie, Walk the Night is open to all.

Achievable by anyone with a reasonable amount of training, this 26.2 mile or 13.1 mile marathon around London is a fab way to get in shape, testing spirit and stamina, while making amazing new friendships and supporting an invaluable cause.

Walk the Night takes you on a circular route through London, starting and finishing at Granary Square near the iconic King's Cross station. The route will take you past many famous landmarks, including Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and many more!
