The Challenge
Woah, we’re going to Ibiza! Pop on your helmet and hop on your venga-bike for a colossal three-day ride in Ibiza.
Together we’ll soak up the highlights, hotspots and hidden gems of this exquisite Mediterranean island, from its mountaintop panoramas to its turquoise coast to its dramatic valleys and mighty climbs. In three days, we’ll conquer a breath-taking 310km and end with a sparkling Ibiza-style celebration.
Ibiza may be renowned for its night-life and package holidays but this pedal party is far from a sunbathing session. We’ll cycle the entire perimeter of the island and wind through the hills and communities at its heart.
Tough climbs will reward us with unforgettable views over the Mediterranean Sea from all directions, quiet picnic spots in secluded coves and smooth descents through the mountains.
We’ll hit the closing of party season, which gives us ideal cycling weather, quieter roads and more space at our stunning beach-side accommodation.

This challenge is not designed for Olympic athletes, but it's certainly no ride in the park. These winding and undulating cycling routes will push you to the peak and require a fair amount of fitness.
If you're new to cycling, it's nothing a decent amount of training can't gear you up for. As long as you're willing to get fit in time for the ride and you're up for the challenge, go for it!
This adventure is the perfect motivation to shape up for the summer and fundraise for the cause closest to your heart.
Once you have registered, we'll send you a realistic and achievable training plan, which builds up gradually as the event gets closer.
The cycle route is all on road – therefore we recommend using a road or hybrid bike.
We recommend that your bike is serviced before the challenge to minimise the chance of any mechanical problems.

A cycle helmet is essential and must be worn at all times. Cycling shorts are also recommended and everyone will need their own water bottles or a CamelBak-type hydration system.
Apart from that, no specialist equipment is required. We will supply you with a list of everything you will need to take before you go.
We'll also send all participants a free Travel Safety Kit ahead of the challenge and it's essential you bring this with you to minimise both your own and your fellow participants' risk of COVID-19.
Your Travel Safety Kit will include hand sanitiser, anti-bac wipes and face masks for each day of the challenge. Please note, you do not have to wear face masks while cycling.
Please don't be! The majority of people will sign up on their own and our Dream Challenges are renowned for the camaraderie and friendships made as our groups take on these incredible feats together.
Once you've signed up for the challenge, we'll send you a link to a private Facebook group for everyone registered for Cycle Ibiza.
Please feel free to use this space to swap questions, advice and updates with your fellow cyclists on your training and fundraising.
You may also want to reach out to your fellow participants in this group to see if there's anyone in your local area you can meet up to train and fundraise with.
We will stay at the fantastic four-star Amare Beach Hotel near Sant Antonio, throughout this challenge (three nights) on a twin-sharing basis.
Our hotel accommodation is included in your challenge cost on a twin-sharing basis.
However if you would prefer to have a room to yourself and pay for a single supplement, we'll be happy to arrange this for you at an additional cost of £150. (Please note, this is NOT included in your challenge cost).

You will need to make your own way to the hotel on Day 1, so please visit the hotel website here for information on how to get there.

The hotel address is:
Carrer La Rioja, 9
07829 Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Illes Balears
No, as we stay at the same hotel throughout the challenge, your main luggage can stay there.
Each participant however will be organising their own flight to and from Ibiza, so you'll be responsible for your own luggage on the plane.
We advise you to pack light. You will need a bag to go on your bike or a waist bag for things like your camera, sun cream, tissues, your free Travel Safety Kit etc.
Any extra items you may need during the day can be carried on the support vehicle, which you will have access to at the snack stops and lunch.
Yes of course! As you are responsible for organising your own flights to and from Ibiza, it is completely up to you which dates you book them for (as long as they give enough time for you to take part in the full challenge).
Please note, though, that for our first night, we will be staying in a hotel together and meeting as a group for the first time, so you do need to make sure you arrive by 5pm.
The group is likely to be 30 participants.
You will need to take out your own personal travel insurance covering health, accident, loss and repatriation. We have a policy that also covers you for COVID-19 and will send you the details when you register.
Currently, UK citizens do not require a visa for Ibiza, but we'll let you know if this changes before the challenge.
As we're not medically trained, we're afraid we can't offer you advice on this. We recommend you contact your GP or your local travel clinic, who will have the latest travel health advice.
We also recommend you visit the NHS Fit for Travel website here, to keep up to date with current travel health news and advice on staying healthy abroad.
