You’ll find them close to home, in far-flung destinations and everywhere in between! Join to make friends, reach your fitness goals, raise funds for charity and get the best experience of your dream destination. Our aim is to give you the platform, the encouragement and the support to release your inner hero.

What’s more, the tonne of endorphins and the renewing perspective you get on life from our challenges will not only improve your immediate happiness but they're also likely to have a long-term positive effect on your emotional and mental health.

"It was honestly the most exhilarating, exhausting but gratifying experience in my life. There were moments when I couldn't believe what I was doing! The group was so friendly and everyone was very supportive.

People do have different strengths but the most important lesson I learned was the depth of camaraderie. It was an amazing journey with beautiful memories. If you get the opportunity to do a challenge like this embrace it and enjoy every bit of it!"

How we put the Dream into the Challenge

Having worked at this aim for over 20 years, we've built up a vast knowledge base and lots of worldly experience! We've also forged fantastic working relations with our partners overseas and in the UK. Working together, we do all we can to make our challenges achievable and safe - and the best time of your life:

  • We always have an amazing support team, including a DC rep, a local Challenge Leader and local Challenge Guides.
  • Every challenge has fantastic medical support with outdoor remote first-aid trained challenge staff.
  • We support you with all your challenge prep and provide you with a training plan, insurance and visa guidance and more.
  • Every Dream Challenge is made for making friends with a private Facebook group for all participants and incredible camaraderie.
  • We include authentic cultural experiences and special extras to make the most of your Dream destination.

And the list goes on...

"They really do allow you to take on a Dream Challenge. You only have to look at how many repeat customers they get to see that people love the experiences that DC make available.

DC set up challenges and experiences that people may never get to do on their own. Add in the fact that a vast amount of the clients are raising funds for invaluable causes and you get incredibly important and emotional challenges."

"My favourite thing about the Himalayas is that the mountains are so fascinating and motivating that you wish to do better and stand tall as them. I love the people here, the culture, custom, history and most of all, my job of introducing foreigners to the life in the mountains."

"The trip was a once-in-a-lifetime event, made unforgettable by the people that went and organised the event. I have worked in HR and recruited a lot - hold onto this team, and book them as much as they will do. They really went above and beyond, and are fabulous in everything that they do (they work especially well as a team)."

Giving back to the beautiful planet

We’re dedicated to practicing responsible tourism and we design our itineraries to give back to the places we visit.

  • We make certain the animal
    sanctuaries we visit are
    legitimate and prioritise
    the animals’ wellbeing and
happiness. These animal sanctuaries also profit from our visiting fees (included in the challenge costs), so they have more funds for their life-saving work.

  • We employ challenge leaders, porters, tour guides and support team-members local to our challenge destinations.

  • We work with our destination partners to reduce the impact of your challenge on the local and global environment.

  • We choose comfortable, local
accommodation, including homestays, hotels, guest houses, camps and tea houses to support local businesses and people.

  • We arrange to visit and partner with local charities, including Classrooms in the Clouds in the Himalayas, which our mountain leader helped set up, Singing Gorilla Projects in Uganda, founded by one of our inspiring past participants and the Faraja Cancer Support Trust in Kenya.

  • We choose partners with policies that protect people and animals from exploitation and that invest in people and equality.

"I had been aware of the work being done by the Sheldrick Trust for some time and originally adopted “Mukkoka” (a rescued young elephant) over a year ago, before I’d been to Kenya. It was lovely to see him when we visited the base during the last trek and it became very real to be so close to “my” elephant.

I also adopted “Pika Pika” and “Roho” for my two grandsons. I am delighted that my daughter will be joining me on the next trek to Kenya and she’ll be able to see her children’s elephants when we return to the Sheldrick Trust!"

  • Awesome optional extensions and excursions
On many of our Dream Challenges, we offer you the chance to enjoy fantastic optional excursions and extensions arranged by our trusted local experts, including boat rides and safaris, guided tours of nearby sites and even a few days staying on a paradise island!

"I would post a huge thank you to Dream Challenges for enabling these amazing events to take place, what a mission statement you must have!

The trip has taught me much about myself, which I hope to put into practice now we are home! It has been so inspiring. I was inspired by Africa, inspired by the older members of the group who show age is no barrier, inspired that as a group, I wouldn’t be surprised if we had raised over £50k for good causes and inspired that despite the difficulties of the trek, there was always support, chat and laughter!"

- David, Walk on the Wild Side Trek Kenya 2020 Past Participant
